Yesterday, OpenText announced their completed acquisition of EMC's Enterprise Content Division (ECD) that was originally announced on September 12, 2016.
MetaSource president and CEO, Adam Östhed, had this to say: "We're excited to be a part of the OpenText family, and we're prepared to hit the ground running with the established ECD team that we're familiar with."
While most industry and stock market analysts are focused on Documentum changing hands, so too does ApplicationXtender, Captiva and InfoArchive. However, from our viewpoint, it will be business as usual for the foreseeable future with these products sold through MetaSource to our channel partners.

Dear Valued Customers and Partners,
This morning, OpenText issued a press release announcing our completed acquisition of the Enterprise Content Division (ECD) of Dell EMC, including Documentum. With the closing, OpenText adds a portfolio of world-class Enterprise Content Management (ECM) experts, services and solutions.
I want to personally welcome every Documentum, InfoArchive, and LEAP customer and partner to the OpenText family, and express our commitment to helping you maximize your investments in ECM technologies. We will continue to innovate, invest in, and provide full support for the Documentum portfolio, as well as our existing ECM solutions. With OpenText you now have a business partner that is as focused on the success of your company’s digital future as you are.
Rest assured that maintaining and improving your customer experience is a key objective as we move through the integration process. Your satisfaction and continued patronage is important to us and we plan to make the transition to OpenText as seamless as possible. We have no plans to change your existing service levels, and intend to fully leverage the expertise of the ECD team.
I would like to invite you to join our industry expert round-table, hosted by AIIM's Chief Evangelist John Mancini. This live webinar will be held on Thursday, February 2 @ 2PM EST and will cover our integration strategy and where ECM is headed. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact your Account Manager, use the special hotline we have created for the transition, or reach out to me directly (email@example.com) with any questions you may have regarding the acquisition. We also invite you to visit www.opentext.com for the latest news and updates.
